Tim
Green received a Master’s Degree in Public
Administration from UNC-Greensboro.
He served as Assistant Area Director of the
Alamance Caswell Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation
and Substance Abuse Program for nine years before being
appointed Director of the Alamance County Health
Department. He
has held this position for the past nineteen year.
Mr.
Green has contributed in a leadership role with the
North Carolina Association of Local Health Directors for
many years serving as President in 2001.
He currently serves as the association’s
liaison to the North Carolina Association of Local
Boards of Health. Mr.
Green also chairs the statewide Public Health Task Force
on Standards and Efficiencies which oversees work groups
in the areas of Accreditation, Best Practices and
Demonstrations. He
is a member of the North Carolina Public Health
Association and American Public Health Association.
